Sacred sexual priestesses legacy
Aphrodite is the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. The cult of Aphrodite was largely derived from that of the Phoenician goddess Astarte, a cognate of the East Semitic goddess Ishtar, whose cult was based on the Sumerian cult of Inanna. And before that, we can relate this cult with the Ancient Mother Goddesses of Neolithic times. Sacred Sex has been a part of rites and rituals in many religions, stretching back to the dawn of man. Through the ages, Sacred Sexual Priestesses were among the most revered and educated people, considered to have a civilizing influence on men and culture in general.
The Wisdom of the Goddess
In order to heal feminine sexuality, women must reclaim the core of the universal feminine alternately called The Great Goddess, The Great Mother, Earth Mother, and Mother of All. The Goddess represents the feminine polarity of Life Force. She is not outside our experience, but an eternal awareness inside us all. Ultimately, there is no gender for the Divine. However, by using the image of the feminine, we can break up the judging, sex-negative image of ultimate authority that has dominated for the last 5,000 years.
What is This?
This is a course that aims to provide an understanding of Female Sacred Sexuality, through a process that is mainly experiential and practical.
In here, we will deeply understand our own sexual personal story, and learn how to use ancient tools and techniques for sexual healing, expansion and realignment of our own bodies.
We will enter deeply into the themes of desire, body-mind-spirit connection, ancestral sexual wisdom, erotic body recognition, sensuality, deep intimacy, sacred sex, spiritual sexuality.
We will share small personal rituals to honor Aphrodite, invoke Her, listen to Her and dance Her in the intimacy of our altars, our homes and beds.
This course is essentially PRACTICAL, so maturity, commitment, open-mindedness and total dedication are a must.
Some of the experiences will require nudity and intimate touch (as in the case of erotic massage). All hygiene and safety measures will be adequately ensured.
